BEIJING, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) — Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Friday that the actions of Chinese warships in relevant waters are in full compliance with both China's domestic laws and international law.

Lin Jian made the statement at a regular departmental press conference in response to a question about China's third aircraft carrier, the Fujian, in connection with its recent passage through the Taiwan Strait to conduct scientific research tests and exercises in the South China Sea.

The PLA Navy had previously released information on the matter, a Chinese diplomat said.

According to him, these inter-waterfront training and testing activities are a normal process within the framework of the construction of the aircraft carrier Fujian and are not directed against any specific target. -0-
