BEIJING, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) — The overweight and obesity rate among Chinese children under 6 has dropped to 9.7 percent from 10.4 percent five years ago, Lei Haichao, head of the National Health Commission, said at a press conference on Thursday.

According to him, the incidence of fetal macrosomia has been decreasing for five consecutive years during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025).
