SHANGHAI, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) — Two China Coast Guard (CCG) ships set sail from Shanghai on Wednesday to conduct a 31-day fisheries patrol in the high seas of the North Pacific Ocean.

The BOC statement noted that the patrol is an important part of China's efforts to fulfill the country's international obligations.

The Coast Guard sends two ships to perform this mission each year, with 2025 marking the 10th mission.

In recent years, BOC has been actively involved in the implementation of UN General Assembly Resolution 46/215 and the Convention on the Conservation and Management of High Seas Fish Resources in the North Pacific Ocean.

Boarding and inspection operations on the high seas are being carried out to curb illegal fishing activities, promoting order in the fisheries and sustainable development of fisheries resources, the BOC said in a statement. -0-
