BEIJING, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) — China will establish the Huangyan Dao Island National Nature Reserve under the approval of the State Council.
The State Council of China approved the request of the Ministry of Natural Resources to establish a national nature reserve for Huangyan Dao Island, giving its consent to the establishment of the nature reserve, information about this was published on the official website of the central government of China /www.gov.cn/ on Wednesday.
The establishment of a nature reserve is an important guarantee for the preservation of biodiversity, stability and sustainable development of the ecosystem around the island, according to the document approved by the State Council.
