A student of the State University of Management, as part of the Student Expeditionary Corps "Arctic Team", returned from the historical reconstruction festival "Ladeinoe Pole", which took place in the Lipetsk region.

At the festival, guests were treated to analogues of medieval ships and houses made from authentic materials, a frigate race, a battle reconstruction, a fair, a historical costume competition and much more, allowing them to immerse themselves in the history of that time.

The expedition members, including 3rd year student of the Institute of Industrial Management of the State University of Management Stepan Osin, helped prepare the site, learned about the traditions of medieval shipbuilding and participated in master classes on medieval crafts.

"The expedition became an immersion into living history for me. I participated in the launching of a drakkar and longboats, which were built using medieval technologies, helped to develop the territory, and mastered new practical skills. The atmosphere of the 9th-10th centuries, the trip to Kudykina Mountain and working in a team gave me incredible emotions," Stepan shared his impressions.

Let us recall that this is not the first expedition for representatives of our university: in 2024, the guys carried out search operations in the Sebezhsky district at the sites of battles during the Great Patriotic War, went to the Arctic to clean up the territories from industrial waste and even took part in several expeditions in the summer. At the end of 2024, the SUM created its own Expeditionary Corps, thanks to which the directions of trips will become even more diverse.
