BEIJING, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) — China hopes that people from all walks of life in Nepal can properly resolve their domestic issues and restore public order and stability in the country as soon as possible, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Wednesday.

Lin Jian made the statement at a regular departmental press conference in response to journalists' requests to comment on the protests and unrest in Nepal, against the backdrop of which the Prime Minister of Nepal resigned.

Noting that China and Nepal have traditionally been friendly neighbors, the Chinese diplomat added that China has already warned its citizens in Nepal to pay attention to security. -0-
