On September 8, at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office, Justice Minister He Rong said that over the past five years, 16,000 foreign-related arbitration cases have been handled, with a total value of 730 billion yuan (about 102.5 billion U.S. dollars). Among them, more than 4,400 such cases were accepted for handling in 2024, with a total value of nearly 200 billion yuan (about 28.1 billion U.S. dollars), up 100% and 136% respectively compared with 2020.
