BEIJING, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) — China is becoming a preferred venue for international commercial arbitration, Justice Minister He Rong said Monday, citing a sharp rise in the number of cases over the past five years.
During the reporting period, more than 16,000 arbitration cases involving foreign elements were heard, with a total value of 730 billion yuan (about 102.8 billion US dollars), she said at a press conference.
In 2024 alone, more than 4,400 such cases were accepted for review, amounting to nearly 200 billion yuan, up 100 percent and 136 percent, respectively, from 2020. -0-
