BEIJING, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) — Thirty outdoor enthusiasts from Russia's Khabarovsk Territory took part in a Nordic walking competition held Sunday in Raohe County, Shuangyashan City, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, local media reported.
The 14km event attracted over 1,000 active recreation enthusiasts from 13 provincial-level administrative units in China. The participation of Russian citizens added a special atmosphere of Sino-Russian exchanges to the competition.
Raohe County, famous for its black bee nature reserve and eco-tourism, is located in northeastern Heilongjiang Province, just a river away from Russia.
