BEIJING, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) — The number of flights on the Guangzhou-Almaty route operated by Kazakhstan's Air Astana will increase by one from Sept. 20, bringing the total number of such flights per week to four, Zhongxinshe News Agency reported.

According to the schedule, Air Astana’s aircraft, operating the added flight KC187, will depart from Almaty on Saturday at 20:15 local time and land at Guangzhou Airport on Sunday at 05:10 Beijing time. On the return flight, it will leave Guangzhou on Sunday at 06:20 Beijing time and arrive in Almaty at 09:55 Sunday local time.

Air Astana launched a flight on the Guangzhou-Almaty route at the end of March this year, which became the first air route of this air carrier connecting Kazakhstan with southern China.

Currently, Air Astana operates flights on 6 routes between China and Kazakhstan, including scheduled flights on the Beijing-Almaty, Beijing-Astana, Guangzhou-Almaty, Urumqi-Almaty routes and tourist flights on the Sanya-Almaty and Sanya-Astana routes. -0-
