BEIJING, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) — An exhibition of Chinese and Russian art works dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the Victory in the World Anti-Fascist War opened on the Chinese segment of the Internet recently, according to the website of Tianjin University.
The exhibition project was developed by the Institute of Humanities and Arts of this university together with other local organizations. The works of Chinese and Russian artists are posted on the official account of the institute on the social network Wechat.
The idea of holding such an online exhibition was reportedly well received by artists from both countries, with over 200 works submitted to the organizers.
The exhibition aims not only to showcase the glorious history of the joint struggle of the peoples of China and Russia against fascism, but also to deepen their cultural exchanges and strengthen friendly relations, the university said in a statement. -0-
