The city rental company Velobike actively uses 3D printing to produce parts. About two thousand elements have already been manufactured in this way. Among them are shifter covers (gear shift element), license plate mount elements and battery lock mounting platforms, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov.

"On behalf of Sergei Sobyanin, we are developing the city rental service, making it even more modern and convenient. Since the start of using 3D printing, the service has already manufactured about two thousand parts. This allows us to quickly respond to the needs of the park, maintain the bicycles in working order and implement modern solutions for the comfort of Muscovites and city guests," said Maxim Liksutov.

Muscovites have access to over nine thousand bicycles and 300 electric scooters. 3D printing helps create the necessary parts for any bicycle model, including 2.0 electric bicycles, children's bicycles, and stationary mechanical bicycles.

You can use the rental service from the age of 18. City residents have access to free rides on the unlimited tariff "Ediny" and the Muscovite card for students.
