In the capital of Bashkortostan, the city of Ufa, two multifunctional sports complexes were ceremoniously opened. They were built with funds from ANK Bashneft within the framework of the Agreement between NK Rosneft and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The new physical education and health complex of V.V. Gorbatko Gymnasium No. 64, where 1,300 children study, is located on an area of more than 1.1 thousand square meters. The sports facility includes basketball and football fields, jumping zones and specialized exercise machines. Thanks to professional equipment, the complex will host regular classes, training camps and city-level competitions, as well as various educational, festive and cultural events.
The multifunctional sports complex of Gymnasium No. 82 with an area of over 3 thousand square meters is intended for mini-football, basketball, volleyball, exercise equipment and track and field relay races in the fresh air. More than a thousand students of the gymnasium will train here. The new complex is equipped with the necessary sports equipment and meets modern safety requirements. For many years, the educational institution has been the center of sports activity in the northern part of Ufa: sports sections for adults and children operate on its basis.
Support for mass, children's and youth sports is one of the significant areas of social work of Rosneft and its subsidiaries. Sports complexes, arenas, and multifunctional sports grounds are built in the regions of presence with the Company's funds. Dozens of modern large sports facilities have been opened in the regions of Russia with the support of Rosneft. The company supports projects aimed at developing and popularizing physical culture and a healthy lifestyle.
In Bashkortostan, thanks to the Company's support, more than 30 sports facilities have been opened in 16 districts of the republic since 2017. The largest of them are: a sports and fitness complex in the city of Blagoveshchensk, ice palaces in the cities of Oktyabrsky, Kumertau and Tuymazy, a world-class skate park in Dyurtyuli and the Spartak stadium in Tuymazy – the largest sports facility in the west of the republic. Also, 11 multifunctional sports and fitness complexes have appeared in the districts and cities of the republic with the support of the oil company.
