BEIJING, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) — The great victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression has created vital conditions for the Chinese people to embark on the right path of national rejuvenation under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC), a think tank said in a report released Friday.
The report, titled “Historical Retrospect, Upholding Justice – The Great Contribution of the Main Theater of War in the East to the World Anti-Fascist War,” was published in Chinese and English by the Xinhua Institute, a think tank affiliated with the news agency of the same name.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
According to the report, the difficult situation during the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression tested and strengthened the CPC.
After winning this war, the CPC, standing at the head of the Chinese people, succeeded in winning the new democratic revolution and founding the People's Republic of China, thereby fulfilling the historical mission of achieving national independence and people's liberation.
"This achievement ended a century of humiliation, created the fundamental social conditions for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and opened a new era in China's development," the report said.
In recent years, Xinhua Institute has been conducting forward-looking, strategic and preparatory research on major domestic and global issues, resulting in numerous think tank research results with wide influence. -0-
