This Sunday, September 7, the fifth Open Water Water Sports Festival will take place. The event, organized by Department of Sports of the City of Moscow, will take place on the Rowing Canal in the west of the capital.
The key event of the festival will be the final of the Russian championship in water-motor sports, in which about 150 athletes from 15 regions of the country will take part. For aquabikers, there will be competitions in three disciplines: circuit racing, slalom and freestyle. Athletes will perform on two types of aquabikes – with seats (Runabout) and without seats (Skidivision). Spectators will see exciting races, virtuoso tricks and aerial somersaults.
In addition, the festival guests will enjoy an entertainment program, including an extreme water show using flyboards and jet skis, a performance by a musical group and various master classes for the whole family. Older guests will be able to master the balance board and try their hand at table tennis, cornhole, giant sea battle and Jenga. And for children, there is a special area with a Lego town and marine-style face painting, balance bike rides, flower master classes and lessons in tying sea knots.
