LISBON, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) — The Gloria Funicular, a landmark of Portugal's capital Lisbon that connects Restauradores Square with the Principe Real district, derailed and fell on Wednesday, killing one person and injuring about 20 others, local authorities said.
Firefighters and police officers are working at the scene.
The funicular, which can accommodate up to 43 passengers, is a popular attraction among tourists visiting the Portuguese capital. –0–
