BEIJING, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) — Chinese Vice President Han Zheng and Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel attended a celebration in Beijing on Thursday to mark the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Cuba.
Han Zheng said that China firmly supports Cuba's just struggle to safeguard national sovereignty and oppose external interference. He said that China is willing to work with Cuba to implement the new important consensus reached by the two heads of state, continuously deepen political mutual trust, expand practical cooperation, strengthen strategic coordination and promote the development of special friendly relations between the two parties and countries, so as to achieve new achievements in building a China-Cuba community with a shared future.
M. Diaz-Canel, in turn, emphasized that Cuba firmly adheres to the one-China principle and will deepen strategic cooperation with China in various areas. –0–
