BEIJING, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) — Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, met with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in Beijing on Wednesday.
S. Japarov was in China to participate in the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, as well as in commemorative events to mark the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the Victory in the World Anti-Fascist War.
Cai Qi said that China is ready to work with Kyrgyzstan to implement the important agreements reached by the heads of the two states, promote the dynamic development of mutually beneficial cooperation and enrich the content of the Chinese-Kyrgyz community of shared destiny.
S. Japarov, in turn, said that the grand commemorative event on Wednesday morning emphasized the importance of preserving the memory of history and maintaining peace, and also demonstrated China's global influence.
Kyrgyzstan firmly supports China's position on issues concerning its core interests and will continue to actively develop comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, said S. Japarov. -0-
