BEIJING, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) — Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday called on countries around the world to address the root causes of war and prevent historical tragedies from recurring.
Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the call while delivering a speech at a ceremony to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
