BEIJING, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) — China displayed its land-, sea- and air-based strategic forces as a nuclear triad for the first time at a military parade on Wednesday to mark Victory Day.

This triad included the Jinglei-1 long-range air-launched missiles, the Julang-3 submarine-launched intercontinental ballistic missiles, the Dongfeng-61 land-based intercontinental ballistic missiles, and the new Dongfeng-31 land-based intercontinental ballistic missiles.

These weapons are China's strategic "trump cards" in protecting state sovereignty and upholding national dignity.
