In the north of the capital, construction has begun on a road overpass that will connect 8 Marta and Priorova streets. It will pass over the railway tracks of the second Moscow Central Diameter (MCD-2). This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Vladimir Efimov.

"In the north of Moscow, construction has begun on an overpass that will pass over the tracks of the second Moscow Central Diameter and connect 8 Marta and Priorova streets. Its length will be about 450 meters, and its width will be approximately 17 meters. The overpass will consist of eight spans. There will be two traffic lanes in each direction. The site is currently being developed and fences are being installed. The opening of the overpass will provide direct transport links between the Savelovsky, Aeroport, Timiryazevsky and Koptevo districts, which are separated by a railway," Vladimir Efimov noted.

An underground passage 70 meters long will appear in the line of Akademika Ilyushina Street. It will create safe access for residents to Timiryazevsky Park and the Grazhdanskaya MCD-2 station.

“As part of the project, they will also build and reconstruct about three kilometers of roads, equip modern bus stops, additional traffic lights and ground pedestrian crossings,” added the head of the Department of Construction of Transport and Engineering Infrastructure of the City of Moscow.

Vasily Desyatkov.

Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin announced the construction overpass, which will pass through the tracks of the Yaroslavl direction of the Moscow Railway.
