On August 30, the Narodnaya Literatura Publishing House held a conference in honor of the release of books dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, and presented a number of books on this topic.
This year, the People's Literature Publishing House released the book series "Behind the Front: Struggle Led by the Communist Party of China", which includes "The History of the CPC's Leadership Work Behind Enemy Lines during the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression", the history of the Eighth Army (the name of the People's Liberation Army from 1937 to 1949), the New Fourth Army (1937 to 1946; a formation of the NRA under the control of the CPC), the Northeast Anti-Fascist Liberation Army and the South China Anti-Fascist Guerrilla Detachment behind enemy lines, as well as the histories of various anti-Japanese strongholds.
In addition, a series of five books, “The Military Campaigns of the PLA: The War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression,” was published.
Narodnaya Literatura Publishing House has also published the research monographs “A Reliable Support: The Chinese Communist Party and the 14-Year Struggle in Northeast China,” “Historical Turning Point: A Brief History of World War II,” and the book series “Cross-Disciplinary Studies of Anti-War Sentiment in Japanese Society.”
