BEIJING, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) — Chinese Vice President Han Zheng held separate meetings with Nepalese Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli and Myanmar's acting President Min Aung Hlaing in Beijing on Tuesday.

The leaders of the two countries arrived in China to attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit and commemorative events marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

During the meeting with KPS Oli, Han Zheng said that China is willing to work with Nepal to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and promote the continuous progress of the China-Nepal strategic cooperative partnership so as to bring more benefits to the two peoples.

The Nepalese Prime Minister, for his part, highly appreciated the Global Governance Initiative put forward by Chinese President Xi Jinping and assured that Nepal is willing to strengthen cooperation with China, implement projects under the Belt and Road Initiative, and promote the in-depth development of bilateral relations.

During his meeting with Min Aung Hlaing, Han Zheng said China is willing to work with Myanmar to implement the important consensus of the two leaders and promote the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations.

Min Aung Hlaing, for his part, thanked China for its prompt assistance after the earthquake in Myanmar.

He noted that Myanmar supports the Global Governance Initiative put forward by President Xi Jinping, is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in various fields, and advance the construction of a community with a shared future between Myanmar and China. –0–
