TIANJIN, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) — Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday called on member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to ensure the SCO's commitment to world peace and stability.
Speaking at the SCO Plus meeting, Xi Jinping noted that SCO member states should be guided by the principles of non-alignment, non-confrontation and non-targeting of third parties.
“We must take comprehensive measures to counter all types of threats and challenges,” Xi Jinping said, noting that the SCO should act as a stabilizing factor in a turbulent world. -0-
