DHAKA, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) — The country's first robotic rehabilitation center was inaugurated at the Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) on Sunday.
The ceremony was attended by Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen and senior officials from the Bangladesh Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
Yao Wen called the construction of the center a milestone in China-Bangladesh cooperation in the healthcare sector and expressed readiness to deepen cooperation.
Bangladeshi officials praised the centre's importance in improving the country's health care and thanked China for its continued support.
The new center will help patients recovering from strokes, paralysis, neurological diseases, injuries and other physical disorders that require intensive rehabilitation, according to authorities. –0–
