TIANJIN, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) — Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, met on Saturday with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, who is here to attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.
Noting that next year will mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Cai added that China is willing to work with Egypt to continue to properly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen mutual support, and push forward the further development of bilateral cooperation in various fields to achieve greater development.
M. Madbouly, in turn, said that Egypt firmly adheres to the one-China principle and supports the three global initiatives proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
