In recent years, Qingdao Sea Port (Shandong Province), taking advantage of its geographical location and the growing influence of the China-SCO Demonstration Zone located in Qingdao, has actively supported maritime trade exchanges with SCO countries.
The volume of transit traffic on the Central Asia, India-Pakistan and Japan-Korea-Qingdao-Central Asia multimodal routes has increased significantly compared to the previous year. Today, the Qingdao port serves 42 sea routes to the SCO countries, which connect 30 ports in the region, leading to a double increase in both cargo traffic volumes and the number of new routes.
