BEIJING, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) — China will hold the third press conference on Sunday to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
The press conference, which was organized by the Press Center for the Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Sunday. The press center is located at the Beijing Media Center Hotel.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Veterans' Affairs and the National Cultural Heritage Administration will release the fourth list of memorial structures and historic sites related to the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and a new list of heroes of the Anti-Japanese War, including those who died, at a press conference, according to a notice released by the press center.
In addition, the press conference will also provide information on efforts to protect and preserve such sites and military relics. Officials from the above-mentioned agencies will also answer questions from journalists.
Chinese authorities on Friday released a fourth list of 34 national memorial sites and monuments related to the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, as well as a fourth list of 43 famous heroes, martyrs and heroic groups.
