This year's Russian Chessboxing Federation Cup was held at the Polytechnic Sports Complex at SPbPU. From August 21 to 24, the country's strongest athletes competed in the ring and at the chessboards. Among the participants were our students Alexandra Noskova, Konstantin Kotovich, Sofia Argandeykina, Elizaveta Orlova, Margarita Golubova, as well as university lecturer Anatoly Shchukin.

Chessboxing, recognized as an official sport in Russia, continues to gain popularity. The competitions have become an important stage in the development of this unique competition, which combines intellectual confrontation at the chessboard and a duel in the ring.

1st place — Ekaterina Petruchkova, Elizaveta Orlova, Mikhail Grigoriev. 2nd place — Alexandra Noskova, Sofia Argandeikina, Margarita Golubova, Ekaterina Gorlova, Konstantin Kotovich, Anatoly Shchukin, Arseny Perevalov, Anatoly Kukushkin, Alexander Bestuzhev. 3rd place — Arnold Baklitsky, Vsevolod Karpov, Vladimir Spiridonov, Mikhail Grigoriev.

In the overall team standings, the St. Petersburg team won first place!
