LHASA, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) — No casualties have been reported so far after a 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck Shuanghu County, Nagchu City, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region at 8:03 a.m. on Tuesday.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a point with coordinates 33.97 degrees north latitude and 87.77 degrees east longitude, the hypocenter was at a depth of 10 km. There are no administrative centers of volosts and villages within a radius of 50 km from the epicenter.
"We immediately conducted a situation assessment after receiving information about the earthquake, and there are no reports of casualties or injuries or material damage so far," said the Shuanghu County Emergency Management Department. -0-
