OSLO, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) — Norway's government on Monday proposed maintaining emergency support for Ukraine at its current level next year, pledging 85 billion kroner (about 8.4 billion U.S. dollars) in military and civilian aid.

Prime Minister of the Scandinavian country Jonas Gahr Støre announced this during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv, according to a press release from the Norwegian government.
