In 2025, 56,879 small architectural forms (SAF) will be installed in the capital during improvement works.
Almost 10 thousand pieces of equipment for children of different ages will be installed on children's playgrounds – these are playgrounds, various types of swings, slides, balance beams, sandboxes, climbing frames, as well as other elements for games and development of young Muscovites.
More than three thousand exercise machines for various muscle groups, workout complexes and other equipment will appear on the city’s sports grounds.
"The largest number of small architectural forms is street furniture. Benches of various designs, sun loungers, pergolas and urns are placed both on iconic sites and in courtyards, on the territories of educational institutions and in other public spaces. In total, more than 20 thousand benches and 21 thousand urns will appear there," she said.

One of the most striking and interesting examples is the improvement of the ecological park "Severnoye Butovo" with a total area of 18.58 hectares. 472 small architectural forms were installed here.
The sports grounds already have 85 pieces of equipment. These are the Ninja sports and gymnastics complex, workout complexes, exercise machines for all muscle groups, including the chest, back, and shoulder muscles. In addition, the grounds have been equipped with canopies so that you can exercise in any weather.
For children of different ages, 28 play complexes, trampolines, play modules for climbing, swings, carousels and balance beams were installed.
The parks now have benches, bins, pergola swings, chess tables, and a dog park with everything needed for four-legged friends. A total of 359 pieces of equipment were installed here.
Among the landscaped courtyards, the site on Tallinskaya Street near house 13, buildings 2, 3 and 4 stands out. Here, an area of 5.37 hectares is being put in order. Workers are currently finishing installing 83 small architectural forms. The courtyard will feature a sports complex, 19 children's play complexes, rocking chairs, climbing frames, swings, carousels, hills, trampolines and play panels, as well as 63 units of street furniture – benches, urns, canopies and bench-swings.
A sports cluster is being set up on Yasnogorskaya Street (building 7). The total area of the landscaped territory is 4.2 hectares. 24 sports equipment will be installed here — workout complexes and exercise machines for different muscle groups. 15 small architectural forms will appear on the playgrounds — these are seesaws, sand yards, swings, carousels and the "Airship" play complex, which has no analogues in the city. 102 pieces of street furniture will also be installed here, including benches, trash bins and chess tables.
A yard with a modern playground, a well-equipped sports area, a park with beautiful and comfortable street furniture is an important part of the local infrastructure. At the same time, each element must be maintained in good condition and repaired in a timely manner.
Elmira Sultanova added that the program's special feature is the contracts with equipment manufacturers, which provide not only for delivery and installation, but also for subsequent seven-year maintenance and repair of small architectural forms. This is a long-term cooperation between the city and manufacturers, in which the contractor is responsible for the quality of its equipment.
In preparation for the transition to the new procurement system, a single catalogue of small architectural forms of manufacturers was created. New products are regularly added to it, including scientific playgrounds and innovative forms.
Since 2022, the city has been using a pricing mechanism based on expertise and has introduced a unified system for managing the purchase of equipment for improvement facilities and monitoring this process. Now it has been possible to completely replace imported products with Russian products without trade markups. This allows saving budget funds.
During this time, 189.2 thousand small architectural forms were installed as part of the improvement of objects of prefectures of administrative districts. This year, it is planned to install 56.8 thousand small architectural forms.
