BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) — China's energy sector will achieve key targets set in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025), including total power generation capacity and non-fossil fuel share, as scheduled, Wang Hongzhi, head of the National Energy Administration, said at a press conference on Tuesday.
As he emphasized, during the specified period, China's energy sector has achieved breakthrough progress and historic successes.
Under the plan, China aims to increase the country's annual total power generation capacity to more than 4.6 billion tons of standard coal by 2025 and increase the share of non-fossil energy sources in the overall energy consumption structure to about 20 percent. -0-
