Participants of the jubilee, tenth Eastern Economic Forum on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University will be greeted by new objects that form the patriotic and educational space of Russky Island. On the way to the exhibition "Far East Street" the Alley of Glory of the Far East will be opened, dedicated to the heroes of the special military operation, and the main landmark on the campus territory will be a giant Russian tricolor with an area of more than 150 sq. m.

It is a point of public attention. This year, our country celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. We remember the feat of our fathers and grandfathers who shed their blood for the freedom and independence of our country and the whole world, we remember the home front workers who worked around the clock so that our country would defeat the enemy and there would be a peaceful sky above our heads. The memory of battles, heroism and courage is necessary. This is the foundation of the entire Russian state. Russia is currently conducting a special military operation. Our guys on the front lines continue to protect their families, friends, and the country. They need our support. Volunteers are bringing humanitarian aid from the Far Eastern regions. Far Eastern builders are rebuilding Donbass. Far Eastern enterprises produce machinery and equipment that goes to the front. Doctors and teachers are traveling to new regions. “It depends on all of us how quickly we win,” said Deputy Prime Minister – Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Far Eastern Federal District, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum Yuri Trutnev.
The Alley of Fame consists of seven three-dimensional steles dedicated to 53 servicemen of the Eastern Military District who were awarded the "Gold Star" of the Hero of the Russian Federation. On the steles, participants of the EEF will be able to find information about the feats accomplished by Far Eastern soldiers. Detailed stories of the heroes will be published in a special section on the university's website. The official opening of the Alley of Fame will take place during the forum.
"The Alley is located on the way from the venue of the business part of the EEF to the "Far East Street", so most of the guests will have the opportunity to learn about the exploits of the Far Eastern heroes. And after the forum, the Alley of Glory will become an integral part of the educational process for first-year students – open classes on patriotic education and a course on the fundamentals of Russian statehood will be held here," said FEFU Rector Boris Korobets.
The dominant feature of the FEFU campus will be the Russian national flag – one of the largest in the Far East. The tricolor can be seen from the Russian Bridge, from the mainland part of the city and the water area of Vladivostok – it will become not only one of the main symbols of the FEFU campus, but also an iconic landmark of the city.
Let us recall that the landscaped park area of the FEFU campus includes an island of untouched nature in the middle of one of the most modern student campuses in Russia. The forested coastal taiga has been preserved here, there are ponds with wild ducks and a picturesque waterfall. The main attraction of the park is the University Embankment, 1200 m long along the Ajax Bay, where pavilions of all regions of the Far Eastern Federal District are located – the exhibition "Far East Street". Work on the improvement of the FEFU campus for the tenth anniversary Eastern Economic Forum is in the final stage, they will be fully completed by August 25.
The 10th Eastern Economic Forum will be held on September 3–6 in Vladivostok on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University. The main theme of this year’s event is “The Far East: Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity.” The organizer of the EEF is the Roscongress Foundation.
