KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) — A Malaysian Air Force plane crashed on the runway at an airport in Pahang state on Thursday.
The incident involving the F/A-18D Hornet occurred at 9:05 p.m. local time, the Air Force said in a statement. The military also advised the public not to speculate about the incident.
Two pilots have been hospitalized, Bernama news agency reported. Videos circulating on social media showed the plane moving along the runway, emitting bright sparks as it took off. –0–
