BISHKEK, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) — Talks were held in Bishkek on Friday between Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as part of the latter's official visit to Kyrgyzstan.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz President, during the meeting in a narrow format, the heads of state discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, as well as prospects for developing cooperation.

The heads of the two states confirmed their commitment to further deepening Kyrgyz-Kazakh relations in all areas of mutual interest.

After negotiations in a narrow format, S. Japarov and K.-Zh. Tokayev took part in a meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of the two countries.

Following the meetings, a number of bilateral documents were signed aimed at increasing cooperation. –0–
