On August 15, the Memorial Museum of the Western Yunnan Wars, located in Tengchong City, Yunnan Province, opened an exhibition themed "Every Inch of Land Soaked in Blood – Contributions of the Western Yunnan Wars to the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression." This means that the Memorial Museum of the Western Yunnan Wars is once again open to the public after a four-month renovation.
The fighting in western Yunnan was an important part of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
The museum displays more than 28,000 exhibits and 1,000 photographs, which recreate the heroic history of the Fighting in Western Yunnan and demonstrate the great strength of the people's struggle against the invaders.
