On August 17, Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, hosted an evening dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. The event was attended by about a thousand members of the public, including Chinese immigrants living in Mexico.
In his welcoming speech, Chinese Ambassador to Mexico Chen Daojiang said that remembering history is necessary to better maintain peace. For its part, China will continue to unswervingly follow the path of peaceful development, promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, and strive for development and revival together with other countries in the world, including Mexico.
