She said e-commerce had stimulated a more diversified supply of goods and services in rural areas, allowing farmers to buy good quality produce at reasonable prices without leaving their homes.
She further said that online retail sales in rural areas of the country increased by 6.4 percent year-on-year in the January-July period this year.
In the future, the Ministry of Commerce will step up efforts to promote the high-quality development of e-commerce in rural areas and promote the growth of rural consumption and increase farmers' incomes, He Yongqian added. -0-
