ISLAMABAD, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) — At least 30 people were injured in a fire that broke out at a fireworks factory in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi on Thursday, rescue and law enforcement officials said.

A powerful explosion at a fireworks factory caused a massive fire that injured about 30 people and caused significant damage to nearby buildings and cars, police said.

Immediately after the incident, rescue teams, fire crews and ambulances immediately arrived at the scene, and all victims were taken to the nearest hospitals.
