Moscow, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) — The Angara-1.2 carrier rocket with spacecraft was successfully launched from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk Region of Russia on Thursday, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
The launch took place at 12:32 Moscow time. The light-class launch vehicle carries satellites sent in the interests of the Russian Defense Ministry.
Angara-1.2 is a Russian two-stage light-class launch vehicle designed to launch a payload of up to 3.5 tons into low Earth orbit and up to 2.4 tons into sun-synchronous orbit. –0–
