URUMQI, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) — The 2025 China-Central Asia Scientific, Technological and People-to-People Exchange Event kicked off in Urumqi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, on Wednesday, bringing together representatives from China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and other neighboring countries.
This event is aimed at creating a new multifaceted and cross-border public platform for scientific, technical and humanitarian exchanges.
Luo Hui, a representative of the China Society of Science and Technology (CST), said that holding this event is a practical action to develop the spirit of “China-Central Asia.” The CST will work with scientific and technical organizations of Central Asian countries to deepen exchanges, making active contributions to building a closer “China-Central Asia” community with a shared future.
At the opening ceremony of the event, an initiative to open up the resources of the Chinese Society of Engineers in the field of sustainable professional development to engineering organizations in Central Asian countries was released.
