Marat Khusnullin: Road network renewal programs allow for the accelerated integration of Donbass and Novorossiya into the all-Russian space.
Restoration of the roads of the reunited regions stimulates the development of their economic ties with each other and with other entities, tourist routes, thereby contributing to the formation of a common road framework of the country. Work on the sites is carried out in accordance with the developed and approved programs. For example, the state company "Avtodor" has completed 80% of the work planned for the current year on the highways in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
"All work in the reunited regions is carried out according to programs that allow us to clearly formulate plans, monitor the pace of their implementation and promptly adjust them so that residents, tourists and businesses receive updated infrastructure as quickly as possible. For example, Avtodor in the Zaporizhia region has fulfilled the plan for laying asphalt concrete by 85%, on the roads of the Kherson region – by more than 95%, and in the LPR and DPR – on 70% of the highways. In parallel, work is underway on 11 artificial structures in four regions," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
In total, the state company will restore more than 700 km of highways in Donbass and Novorossiya this year.
"Asphalt laying has already been completed on many road sections. However, we are not slowing down; at certain sites, the construction of sidewalks, bus stops, barrier fencing, and restoration of artificial structures is already in full swing. At the peak, we have more than 1.5 thousand people involved. Our main task is to restore the road infrastructure to key settlements in Donbass and Novorossiya," said Vyacheslav Petushenko, Chairman of the Board of the state-owned company Avtodor.
