BEIJING, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) — China will display a range of new-generation weapons, such as fourth-generation tanks and aircraft, intelligent and anti-drone drones, and advanced missiles including hypersonic missiles, at the upcoming military parade to mark the 80th anniversary of the Victory Day in Beijing, Major General Wu Zeke, deputy head of the Office of the Military Parade Leading Group and deputy head of the Military Operations Development Department of the Joint Staff Department of the Central Military Commission, said at a press conference on Wednesday.

All types of weapons and military equipment that will be presented at the military parade are produced in China and are the main weapons in service with the country's armed forces, Wu Zeke said.

Wu Zeke added that the military parade will mainly feature new fourth-generation weapons such as new-type tanks, carrier-based aircraft and fighter jets. They will be grouped by combat module and demonstrate the system-based operational capabilities of China's armed forces.
