BISHKEK, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) — A ceremony of handing over interactive panels from the Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan was held at the A. Arbudu Secondary Comprehensive School in Aleksandrovka village in Kyrgyzstan's Chui region on Tuesday.

Speaking at the event, Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Liu Jiangping noted that China attaches great importance to cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the field of education. She expressed hope that the equipment donated by the embassy will help local schools to conduct educational work better.

A large number of Dungans live in the village of Aleksandrovka. The Chinese diplomat expressed her wish that the local Dungans could play a bridging role and contribute to strengthening the friendship between China and Kyrgyzstan, which has been passed down from generation to generation.

Chairman of the Public Association of Dungans of Kyrgyzstan Karim Khanjeza said that China makes its feasible contribution to the development of education and the economy of Kyrgyzstan and provides many grants for the country. “Today's event once again proves the strengthening of friendship between Kyrgyzstan and China,” he emphasized.

In an interview with Xinhua, the school's director, Almash Esenbek kyzy, expressed her sincere gratitude to the Chinese side for its generous assistance.

The embassy also presented school supplies to the children, including backpacks, pencil cases, notebooks, etc. Arafat Lalas, 13, who is entering the 7th grade, eagerly showed the “gifts” he had purchased to Xinhua. “I am in a great mood,” he said, adding that he was eager to share his joy with his family.
