BEIJING, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) — From January to July 2025, Suifenhe Customs in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province inspected 18.9 million pieces of cross-border e-commerce goods out of China using the "9610" inspection method, with a total value of over 1.8 billion yuan (about 252 million U.S. dollars). Both figures hit a record high in the customs' history, up 316.75 percent and 198.63 percent year-on-year, respectively, the Heilongjiang Daily reported Tuesday.

Customs inspection method “9610” is applicable to “direct mail export” and is used for customs clearance of retail goods exported or imported through e-commerce.

Suifenhe Customs actively promotes the implementation of comprehensive measures to simplify procedures to ensure the efficient circulation of goods. Making full use of the geographical advantages of the “port special inspection zone”, intelligent sorting and other scientific and technological means, this customs has continuously improved the “9610” inspection method, opened a “green channel” for cross-border e-commerce, and implemented the “simplified declaration” model, which has reduced the declaration time to 30% of the original figure. In addition, “zero delay” for goods exported through e-commerce has been achieved. -0-
