ISTANBUL, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) — Turkish authorities seized 207 kg of methamphetamine and arrested two suspects here on Tuesday in one of the country's biggest drug busts in recent years, officials said.
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya reported on the social network X that the operation targeted suspects involved in drug trafficking in the Esenyurt district on the European side of the city.
In addition to the methamphetamine, police also seized 98 kg of chemicals during the raid, the minister said, highlighting the scale of the operation against organised drug networks. –0–
