BEIJING, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) — China's National People's Congress (NPC) and its Standing Committee (SC) have passed 35 laws, amended 62 laws and approved 34 resolutions since March 2021, Song Rui, vice secretary-in-chief of the NPC Standing Committee, said at a press conference Monday to highlight China's progress in developing socialist democracy during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025).
