BISHKEK, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) — The ethnocultural festival "Yurt Fest" was held in Kyzyl-Tuu village of Ton district of Kyrgyzstan on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul on Saturday.

According to local authorities, during the festival, guests had the opportunity to see how masters of the art of salbuurun demonstrated hunting techniques with golden eagles. It also featured a demonstration of horseback riding.

In addition, masters of national cuisine held master classes on milling flour, making tea and boorsoks /traditional flour products/. Competitions were organized for the speed of lifting and folding a yurt. A number of master classes on crafts were also held, including making a yurt, making a shirdak /felt carpet/, etc.

The event also included a folklore concert.
