Moscow, August 16 /Xinhua/ — The topic of organizing and holding a trilateral summit between Russian and American Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has not yet been touched upon, TASS reported on Saturday, citing Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
The official emphasized that as soon as the results of the Russia-US summit held the day before in Alaska are finally summed up, a further decision will be made on organizing a new bilateral meeting between the two leaders.
He stated that he does not yet have information on when the next negotiations might take place. “Right now, the US President /Donald Trump/ said that he will call his colleagues and discuss the results of the current negotiations with them. And then we will decide what to do next,” noted Y. Ushakov.
When asked about the possibility of holding a summit in a trilateral format with the participation of V. Zelensky, the Kremlin representative responded succinctly: “This topic has not been touched upon yet.” –0–
